This Privacy Policy describes how WeatherWorx (“the app,” “WeatherWorx”) handles your information. WeatherWorx is developed and published by UrsaWorx LLC (“UrsaWorx,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Tennessee limited liability company.

This policy applies only to WeatherWorx. Other products and services offered by UrsaWorx are governed by their own separate privacy policies.

The short version: WeatherWorx does not collect, store, sell, share, or transmit personal information to UrsaWorx. The app runs on your device and may connect directly to weather-data providers or Apple system services to retrieve weather information and support widget functionality. UrsaWorx operates no servers that receive your data.

1. Information WeatherWorx Collects

None.

WeatherWorx does not send user data to UrsaWorx. UrsaWorx operates no backend service that receives, processes, or stores information about WeatherWorx users. We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information

• Account credentials or passwords

• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses

• Usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports

• Temperature conversion history

• Widget usage data

• Any other personal or behavioral information

WeatherWorx does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

2. Location Information

WeatherWorx may use location services on your device to display local weather information and temperatures.

Location access is handled entirely by Apple’s operating system permissions framework. If you grant WeatherWorx permission to access your location:

• Your device provides location information directly to the weather-data provider or Apple system frameworks used by the app

• UrsaWorx does not receive, store, log, or process your location data

• Location information remains under your device’s control and permissions settings

You may deny or revoke location access at any time through your device settings. If location access is disabled, some weather-related features may not function correctly or may require manual location selection if supported.

3. How WeatherWorx Stores Your Data

All data created or used by WeatherWorx is stored locally on your device. This may include:

• Temperature unit preferences

• Converter settings and preferences

• Widget configuration preferences

• Cached weather data

• App settings and display preferences

This data does not leave your device except when your device directly requests weather information from external providers or Apple system services.

4. Weather Data Providers and Third-Party Services

WeatherWorx may retrieve weather and temperature information from Apple system services or third-party weather-data providers.

When the app requests weather information:

• Requests are sent directly from your device to the relevant provider or Apple service

• UrsaWorx does not proxy, intercept, inspect, or store these requests

• Weather-data providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, approximate location, device information, and request metadata in accordance with their own privacy policies

Your use of weather-data services may therefore also be subject to Apple’s privacy policies and the policies of applicable weather-data providers.

5. Widgets and Device Features

WeatherWorx may provide widgets and integrations with Apple operating system features.

Widget data and refresh activity are managed by your device and operating system. UrsaWorx does not receive information regarding your widget usage, refresh frequency, or home-screen configuration.

Some widget functionality may depend on Apple system permissions, background app refresh settings, or location permissions.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

Any in-app purchases or subscriptions offered by WeatherWorx are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. UrsaWorx does not receive, store, or process your payment information.

Apple may provide us only with aggregate, anonymized sales information. Apple’s handling of your payment data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

7. Children’s Privacy

WeatherWorx is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect information at all.

Parents and guardians should understand that weather information displayed through the app may originate from third-party providers and may not always be accurate or appropriate for safety-critical decisions.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Because WeatherWorx does not transmit personal information to UrsaWorx, there is nothing on our servers for us to access, modify, export, or delete on your behalf.

All app data lives on your device and remains under your control. You can:

• Delete WeatherWorx to remove locally stored app data

• Revoke location permissions from your device settings at any time

• Disable widget functionality through your device settings

• Clear cached weather information by deleting and reinstalling the app, if applicable

9. Security

Because WeatherWorx does not transmit user data to UrsaWorx, there is no server-side WeatherWorx user database that could be exposed in a breach on our end.

No system is entirely immune to risk. Keeping your device’s operating system current, using a device passcode, and carefully managing app permissions are important steps you can take to protect your information.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change our approach — for example, if a future WeatherWorx feature would involve collecting information — we will update this policy and clearly disclose what changed before the change takes effect.

The “Effective Date” above will be updated when changes are made. Continued use of WeatherWorx after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Welcome to WeatherWorx. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and UrsaWorx LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company (“UrsaWorx,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your use of the WeatherWorx mobile application and any related services we provide (collectively, the “App”).

By downloading, installing, or using WeatherWorx, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms apply only to WeatherWorx. Other products offered by UrsaWorx are governed by their own separate terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use WeatherWorx. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. License to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, UrsaWorx grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use WeatherWorx on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

This license is granted under the terms of Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for apps distributed through the App Store, except where these Terms expressly modify it.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law

• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the App

• Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks in the App

• Use the App to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right

• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the App, its features, widgets, or any connected services

• Use the App to transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code

• Use automated systems or scripts to excessively access or abuse the App

4. Weather Information and Temperature Conversion

WeatherWorx provides temperature information in Celsius and Fahrenheit and includes a converter for Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin values. The App may also provide widget functionality for displaying temperature information on supported devices.

Temperature and weather-related information provided through the App is for general informational purposes only. UrsaWorx does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or timeliness of any weather data or temperature conversion.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Weather conditions may change rapidly

• Data sources may experience delays, outages, or inaccuracies

• Temperature conversions may contain rounding differences

• The App is not intended for emergency, aviation, medical, industrial, scientific, or safety-critical use

You are solely responsible for verifying weather conditions and temperature information before making decisions based on that information.

5. Widgets and Device Features

WeatherWorx may offer widgets and integrations with device-level features supported by Apple operating systems.

UrsaWorx is not responsible for:

• Widget availability or functionality on specific devices or operating system versions

• Delays in widget refreshes or updates

• Limitations imposed by Apple or the operating system

• Battery usage, background refresh limitations, or system restrictions affecting widget performance

Widget functionality may vary depending on device settings, permissions, and operating system support.

6. In-App Purchases

WeatherWorx may offer optional one-time purchases or subscriptions for additional features (“Premium Features”). All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are governed by Apple’s Terms of Service and your existing agreement with Apple.

Refunds. Apple handles all refund requests for App Store purchases. If you wish to request a refund, you must do so through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. UrsaWorx does not process refunds directly.

Future changes. UrsaWorx may modify, add, or discontinue Premium Features over time. If we discontinue a Premium Feature you have purchased in a way that materially reduces its functionality, we will provide reasonable notice through the App.

Pricing. Prices for Premium Features are displayed at the point of purchase and may change. Price changes do not affect Premium Features you have already purchased or active subscription billing periods unless otherwise communicated by Apple.

7. Your Data and Privacy

Our handling of your information is described in the WeatherWorx Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and the credentials you use for any services tied to your device, including your Apple ID.

8. Intellectual Property

WeatherWorx, including its name, logo, design, code, graphics, widgets, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by UrsaWorx LLC and protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a license to use the App, not ownership of it.

“WeatherWorx” and “UrsaWorx” are trademarks of UrsaWorx LLC. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

9. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or feature requests regarding WeatherWorx, you grant UrsaWorx a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.

You are not required to submit feedback, and submitting feedback does not entitle you to any compensation.

10. Updates and Changes to the App

UrsaWorx may release updates, modifications, or new versions of WeatherWorx from time to time. Updates may add, change, or remove features. Some updates may be required for continued use of the App or for continued access to certain features.

We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes when practical.

11. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UrsaWorx disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

UrsaWorx does not warrant that the App will meet your requirements, that weather data will always be accurate or available, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the App at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, URSAWORX LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including but not limited to loss of data, inaccurate weather information, missed forecasts, business interruption, or interruption of service, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App.

UrsaWorx’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the App or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid to UrsaWorx for WeatherWorx in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) five U.S. dollars ($5.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, UrsaWorx’s liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UrsaWorx LLC and its members, officers, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your violation of these Terms

• Your misuse of the App

• Your violation of any third-party right

• Your violation of any applicable law

14. Termination

You may stop using WeatherWorx at any time by deleting the App from your device.

UrsaWorx may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the App.

The following provisions survive termination of these Terms: Sections 7 (Your Data and Privacy), 8 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Feedback), 11 (Disclaimers), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Indemnification), 15 (Governing Law), and 17 (Miscellaneous).

15. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You and UrsaWorx agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of WeatherWorx shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from pursuing a claim in small claims court where jurisdiction and venue are otherwise appropriate.

16. Apple App Store Additional Terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and UrsaWorx, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Apple is not responsible for WeatherWorx or its content.

The following additional terms apply to your use of WeatherWorx on Apple devices:

• Scope of license: The license granted in these Terms is limited to use of WeatherWorx on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

• Maintenance and support: UrsaWorx, not Apple, is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for WeatherWorx.

• Warranty: In the event of any failure of WeatherWorx to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the App (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.

• Product claims: UrsaWorx, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims you or any third party may have relating to WeatherWorx, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.

• Intellectual property claims: In the event of any third-party claim that WeatherWorx or your use of it infringes that party’s intellectual property rights, UrsaWorx, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

• Third-party beneficiary: You acknowledge that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

17. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the WeatherWorx Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and UrsaWorx regarding WeatherWorx and supersede any prior agreements.

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective Date” above and provide reasonable notice, such as through the App. Your continued use of WeatherWorx after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. UrsaWorx may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

No agency. No agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship is created by these Terms.
